Season of the Divine

Prayers, Poems, and Pondering

I lay my life at Divinity’s feet. With a heart for the Beloved, I pray. With a humble mind, I speak.

Prayer for the Soft Light

A memory of heaven
in my soul
is begging to be one
with you.

I need you like mist
to veil the sun.
Fresh air and a salve
for the deep ache.

To be held ever close,
as if I am your own heart.
To be floating in the center
of the soft light.

Inescapable love all around,
reaching forth
from within you to gleam,
for even creatures
in the underworld to see,
and hope.

I need to be held by the light,
even if I can never touch
the sun
without burning away.

Let me live there,
in the ancient serene,
in the natural rising
and falling
of the Divine breath.

Where there is no death,
only changing degrees
of radiance
for sensitive eyes,

and for those who must
pass through the night
to find you.
